Melvin Heidrich, 98, of Henrietta, passed away on June 12, 2017 at Welcome Nursing Home. He was born on April 13, 1919 in Lorain County to the late Charles and Cora (Bristol) Heidrich. He was a graduate of Henrietta High School. Melvin was a lifelong farmer and had also worked for the Ohio Turnpike Commission for 23 years. Melvin Heidrich, 98, of Henrietta, passed away on June 12, 2017 at Welcome Nursing Home. He was born on April 13, 1919 in Lorain County to the late Charles and Cora (Bristol) Heidrich. He was a graduate of Henrietta High School. Melvin was a lifelong farmer and had also worked for the Ohio Turnpike Commission for 23 years. He was a devoted father and husband, and enjoyed photography and bike riding the trail in Kipton. He is survived by his daughter Karen Heidrich, of Henrietta, and a granddaughter, Valerie Heidrich, of Tucson, AZ. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Winifred (Widdowson). Graveside services will be held on Saturday June 17, at 11:00 am at the Birmingham Cemetery.
