Otis P. Malone, age 91, passed away on March 5, 2016 at his home in Berlin Heights. He was born on September 8, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Charles and Clara (Zika) Malone. His family moved to his current home when he was 3 years old, and he lived there the rest of his life. Otis P. Malone, age 91, passed away on March 5, 2016 at his home in Berlin Heights. He was born on September 8, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Charles and Clara (Zika) Malone. His family moved to his current home when he was 3 years old, and he lived there the rest of his life. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II, was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Berlin Heights, American Legion Post #659 and was a founding member of the Berlin Heights Conservation Club. He was a retired union lather and worked on his farm until his death, (He was packing apples last week). He is survived by his son Richard (Bonnie) Malone, daughter Kathy (Steve) Deehr, and daughter-in-law Pauline Malone, all of Berlin Heights, his grandchildren, Rob, Mark (Kelli), Toni, and Paul Malone, Sam Deehr, and Sara (Joe) Myers, and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Charles Malone of Huron, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Frances, in 2013, his son Robert Malone, Sisters Gladys Hildebrandt, Carol Hemmer and Mozella Malone, and Brothers Clarence and Armin Malone. A private burial service will take place at a later date at Riverside Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, Berlin Heights.
