Nelson R. Ferber, 84, of Berlin Heights, passed away suddenly on May 3, 2016 at his home. He was born on February 10, 1932 in Berlin Heights and has been a lifelong resident. He was a 1950 graduate of Berlin Heights High School. He retired from the Sandusky Ford plant in 1991 after 35 years as a die maker. Nelson R. Ferber, 84, of Berlin Heights, passed away suddenly on May 3, 2016 at his home. He was born on February 10, 1932 in Berlin Heights and has been a lifelong resident. He was a 1950 graduate of Berlin Heights High School. He retired from the Sandusky Ford plant in 1991 after 35 years as a die maker. He was a member of the Berlin Heights Baptist Church, the Berlin Twp. Farmers and Hunters Conservation Club, the Huron Eagles, and the Berlin Heights Historical Society. He had also served for ten years as a member of the Berlin Twp. Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, reading, gardening and just being outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Betty L. (Bower), daughters, Susan Ferber (Julie Schroeder), of Jefferson City, MO, Lynn (Gene) Davis, of Berlin Heights, son, Mark (Cathy) Ferber, of Fountain Inn, SC, three grandchildren, Michael Ferber, of Houston, TX, Johnathan Ferber, of Fountain Inn, SC, and Kaitlyn, of Berlin Heights, a sister Alice Kozloski, of Cincinnati, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson E. and Mabel (Johanson) Ferber, a son Robert Nelson Ferber, and two sisters Bernita and Nellie. Friends may call on Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of services at 1:00 pm at the Berlin Heights Baptist Church, 85 East Main Street, Berlin Heights. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morman-Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home in Berlin Heights.
