David Gerstacker 91, of Henrietta Twp., passed away on December 15, 2016 at Mill Manor in Vermilion. He was born on March 31, 1925 in Lakewood and has lived in the Henrietta area for most his life. He was a 1942 graduate of Henrietta High School. He served in the US Army. He worked at Tappan in Elyria for many years and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Oberlin. David Gerstacker 91, of Henrietta Twp., passed away on December 15, 2016 at Mill Manor in Vermilion. He was born on March 31, 1925 in Lakewood and has lived in the Henrietta area for most his life. He was a 1942 graduate of Henrietta High School. He served in the US Army. He worked at Tappan in Elyria for many years and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Oberlin. He is survived by his children, Cindy (Ed) Warner, of Wellington, Marge (Jim) Pomfret, of Scottsdale, AZ, Karen (Mark) Huston, of Oberlin, Jim (Lynn) Gerstacker, of Wakeman, Jerry Gerstacker, of Vermilion, David (Donna) Gerstacker, of Henrietta, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a brother Glen Gerstacker, of Orrville, OH, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Loretta (Gerber), his second wife, Darlene (Meilander), his parents Edwin and Zouri (Colahan) Gerstacker, and a brother Robert Gerstacker. Friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00 until the time of services at 1:00 pm at the Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper Street, Wakeman. Burial will take place at a later date at Brownhelm Cemetery.
