Victoria F. Cooley (Vicki) of Wakeman, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 1 in Land of Lakes, Florida, with her loving husband Wilbert Cooley by her side. She was born to the late Betty Jean and Rex Ray Frysinger on April 26, 1949, in Van Wert, Ohio. Vicki graduated from Spencerville High School, and was very active throughout her life caring for and giving to others. At various times she was a cub scout leader, a track and field coach, a cheerleading coach, a 4-H advisor, a Special Olympics coach, and an instructor at the Murray Ridge Opportunity Vocational Center. Vicki especially loved her grandchildren and following their activities. She was always the biggest fan at football games, wrestling matches, soccer games, T-ball games, dance competitions and recitals, track meets, cross country races, tennis matches, and theater performances. As her grandchildren have said many times “we can always hear Grandma Vicki”. Vicki is survived by her husband Wilbert, sister Jeanette Tindall of Celina, Ohio, children John E. Hooker (Meredith) of Tallmadge, Ohio, Steven R. Hooker of Green, Ohio, Kristine M. Kieffer (Justin) of Centerburg, Ohio, stepchildren William Cooley (Laurasa) of Wakeman, Ohio, Matthew Cooley (Angel) of Wakeman, Ohio, Elizabeth Cooley of Winter Haven, Florida, 15 grandchildren, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Jean and Rex Ray Frysinger, and her step father, Guy Rule. A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Berlin Heights, OH on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11 AM. Immediately following, the family would like to receive friends at Collins United Methodist Church, 4290 Heartland Center Rd., Collins, Ohio, for lunch, hosted by the ladies of the church. All friends and family are welcome. In lieu of flowers, Vicki has requested that memorial contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Victoria Cooley Memorial Fund, team.kidney.org.
