Brenda Kaye Hughes, 63, of Wakeman, passed away at her home on April 24, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 5, 1952 in Hazard, KY, and has lived in the Wakeman area for over 40 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Vermilion AMVETS. Brenda Kaye Hughes, 63, of Wakeman, passed away at her home on April 24, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 5, 1952 in Hazard, KY, and has lived in the Wakeman area for over 40 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Vermilion AMVETS. She loved Karaoke, played guitar had a beautiful singing voice. She is survived by her husband James R. Hughes, of Wakeman, two sons, James R. Hughes II, and James Bradley Hughes, of Avon Lake, grandson Zachery James Hughes, siblings Anne Stacy, Frank Howard Jr., and Mary Gail Browning, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Lillie (Stamper) Howard Sr., and siblings, Burnis, Bob, Roy, Truman, and Linda. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 at the Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper Street, Wakeman, where services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am. Pastor Patrick Odle will be officiating.
