Mary Ostheimer, 68, of Collins, passed away on September 12, 2017 at her home. She was born on September 3, 1949 in Sandusky, to the late Clyde and Margery Buchanan. She was a graduate of Sandusky High School. She married John Ostheimer 46 years ago, and he preceded her in death in May of this year. She worked for GTE/Verizon for many years. Mary Ostheimer, 68, of Collins, passed away on September 12, 2017 at her home. She was born on September 3, 1949 in Sandusky, to the late Clyde and Margery Buchanan. She was a graduate of Sandusky High School. She married John Ostheimer 46 years ago, and he preceded her in death in May of this year. She worked for GTE/Verizon for many years. She knitted baby clothes for Fisher-Titus for many years. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and was a lifelong Indians fan. She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Johnson, of Berlin Heights, Sally (Dave) Poorman, of Mansfield, Michele Ostheimer, of Monroeville, eight grandchildren, and several cousins. Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 until the time of services at 5:00 pm at the Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper Street, Wakeman. Chaplain Melvin Sayler will be officiating. Private burial will take place at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
